TRAIN WITH ANAHEIM BALLET THIS SUMMER!

Anaheim Ballet School’s 2025 summer programs include a four-week Summer Intensive for intermediate and advanced students, and one-week Junior Intensive for younger intermediate students. Many students return to AB School’s intensives more than once, some become year-round students, and almost all form life-long friendships because of their productive, joyful experience at AB School.

SUMMER INTENSIVE

AB School's four-week Summer Intensive provides innovative classical ballet training and coaching combined with a public performance. Students train in a professional setting focused daily on improved technique and growing artistic expression. The program focuses on classical ballet technique while providing exposure to other dance styles. AB Directors Lawrence Rosenberg and Sarma Lapenieks Rosenberg co-direct the AB School's Summer Intensive Program. Their goal is to see each student improve technically and artistically by session’s end. After four weeks of daily repertory rehearsal, the program culminates with a public performance of classical ballet at the beautiful outdoor Pearson Park Amphitheatre. Students who trained at our Summer Intensive program have gone on to join ballet companies around the world such as ABT Studio Company, Hamburg Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Hong Kong Ballet, Houston Ballet, Ballet Idaho, Ballet Jalisco, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre II, Royal Danish Ballet, and State Street Ballet.

Anaheim Ballet’s summer intensive program offers classes in ballet technique, pointe, men’s ballet, partnering, character, contemporary and more. Additional guest lectures in nutrition, injury prevention, sports psychology, acting, voice and stage makeup provide a well-rounded experience for participants. A key feature of the program is the daily rehearsal/coaching in classical ballet repertory, to be performed onstage at the end of the four weeks. Past performances have included stagings, revivals or selections from The Awakening of Flora, Chopiniana (Les Sylphides), Coppelia, Don Quixote, La Esmeralda, Graduation Ball, The Little Humpbacked Horse, Ondine, Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. The program attracts students from around the world and gathers a guest faculty representing a broad range of training such as American Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet, Houston Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet, New York City Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. Visiting students enjoy their summer in homestay or other lodging and enjoy a group visit to Disneyland!

JUNIOR INTENSIVE

AB School's Junior Intensive offers a full slate of ballet classes, in a one-week session. The Junior Intensive is an excellent preparatory program and introduction to intensive training for younger ballet students. Students will sample classes in other dance styles, and will be coached daily to learn a classical ballet variation. At the end of the week, students will present an in-studio showcase.
